Membership

Membership in the GFWC Winterport Woman’s Club is open to women of all ages who live in or hold Winterport close to their hearts. We are a group of women who love our community, each other, and serving the community. We value friendship, volunteerism, and fun. Yearly dues are just $25.

Our club is part of the broader GFWC Maine and the International General Federation of Women’s Clubs, with over 60,000 members worldwide. The General Federation of Women’s Clubs are united in their dedication to volunteer community service. While diverse in age, interests, and experiences, all clubwomen are united by a desire to create positive change in their communities.

With roots in local communities and branches worldwide, GFWC members enjoy opportunities to learn from and share at District, State Federation, Region, and International meetings, seminars, and conventions. Operating under the broad community service umbrella, GFWC clubs can assess their communities' needs, consider their members' abilities and interests, and focus their projects and programs in areas that satisfy both. Program guidelines, materials, and resources provided by GFWC and State Federations assist clubs in serving the needs of their communities effectively and efficiently.
